SEGSP Rescue Dogs Ready for Adoption
Hi, my name is Mila (SC) my foster family calls me Little Missy Miss, or wiggle butt. I will answer to all of them. I am wishing for a forever family to love me as much as I will love them. I think I’m the bestest girl ever and I’m sure my foster family would say so also. I am 3 years old and on the small side for a GSP – I’m only 34 pounds. I love all people and kids (over the age of six) once I get to know them. It takes me a little bit to get used to new noises so please be patient with me. I even love other dogs to play with. My foster family has a doggie door so I can go in the backyard whenever I want it is so cool! Out back I play, run, hunt frogs and lizards. I try to bring my catches in, but foster mom says no way! Oh, the foster dad takes me for rides in the Jeep with the windows cracked and that is just awesome fun! I would love it if someone from the family is home most of the time or I can go with you as I don’t like the kennel for long periods of time. I am almost done recovering from heart-worm treatment - can’t wait to get off exercise restrictions as I still have puppy energy!
Here are some notes from my foster family about me: Little Missy Miss is an awesome fur baby. She has plenty of energy and loves to be near her humans as much as possible (can you say Velcro). She goes through a little anxiety when she is left home alone (we are working on this, and you will need to continue to work on it with her). She is quite the escape artist and has figured out how to get out of a thin wire kennel. It is really important to have a heavy-duty kennel to keep her secure and safe. If she is left out, she has the ability to get on counters and loves to help herself to anything that is on it. She will need some more training and a patient family but she is getting better everyday. Little Missy Miss is also well trained when it is dinner or breakfast time, she will sit and stay until the command to eat is given. It is highly recommended that you get a slow feeder bowl as she likes to eat quickly. She also likes to eat others food when given the chance, so keeping a close eye on her when other dogs are being fed. We need to make sure she keeps her girlish figure. Little Missy Miss loves to fetch her toys. She will sit and wait for you to throw them for her. She brings them back but can play "keep away" for a little while. She also loves to bring them outside when given the chance. She will leave them there if given the chance, so verifying before it gets dark would always be a good idea. She loves babies with squeakers and loves to get them out of the baby and leave the stuffing as gifts for her humans. Little Missy Miss has some hesitancy when it comes to new people and dogs. Once she warms up to new people and situations, she loves to spend time enjoying each new adventure. All and all, little Missy Miss is an incredible little girl in search of her forever home. She is a happy, healthy girl. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped so her adoption fee is $375. If you are interested in being my forever Family, please fill out the adoption application and email my foster mom Barbara at bstegall99@yahoo.com! I look forward to meeting you!
