SEGSP Rescue Dogs Ready for Adoption
Who is cuckoo for Coco dogs?
Hi, my name is Coco formerly Cary and I’m a young 15 month old dark liver spayed female GSP. I also have socks whatever that means I just hear my foster mom tell me how cute my booties are. I’m the dictionary definition of a GSP, full of energy 24/7, always playing with my foster siblings and the other dogs my foster mom watches. I’m not so much a Velcro dog because I have lots of dogs to play with at my foster home, so I never care where the humans are until dinner time. My foster mom says that I’ve disabled my off switch, but she is working hard with this training stuff to get it back working again, I say good luck with that. I’m a happy girl that doesn’t meet a stranger, I love all dogs big and small, but I’ve only seen cats from afar but I’m a smart girl and could learn to love anything. My foster mom says I need a younger sibling that can match my energy and that loves to play as much as I do because I would be very sad without someone to play with. I love to play fetch, hike, got for walks but my all-time favorite thing to do is swim and cool off in the pool in between playing a game of catch a dog by the tail that I play with my foster siblings. A pool is definitely a must have for me because I play so hard that cooling off is essential and I will be sad without one, even a little doggie pool is perfect for me. I’m potty trained, kennel trained, leash trained and I’m working on my jumping so that these humans will stop calling me Tigger all the time. I would be happy with any human but small children (children under the age of six) wouldn’t do well around me because my zoomies are intense. She tells me she loves me all the time and gives me kisses so I know I can win you over like I have her, I’m the best little girl in the whole wide world. I am a happy and healthy, UTD on vaccines, microchipped and spayed so my adoption fee is $375. If you are interested in adopting me or have questions about me, please fill out an adoption application on the website then email my foster mom Vicki at vicash15@gmail.com I’m ready to find my furever family, are you ready to feel loved by me? My name is Chapo and I am a lovable 2 year old, neutered male GSP looking for my forever family. I was surrendered by someone who didn’t have the time for me. I spend most of my days outside keeping an eye out for squirrels, bunnies, and birds. I have a strong prey drive and would not do well in a home that has small animals. I love to hang outside as much as you will let me. Someone has to keep an eye on those pesky squirrels and rabbits! If you have a fenced in yard I would love that so I can keep up on my squirrel patrol.
I have done very well with my foster sister, who is a 14 year old Vizsla and I did well with Scout, a 6 year old GSP in my temporary foster home. I love going for walks and as soon as I see the leash coming out I get so excited. Prior to my foster home I probably never walked on a leash . I need someone that will have the patience to continue working with me on how to walk nicely without pulling. I am working hard on it with my foster Mom Kris. I love it best when I get to run free, and we are working hard on recall. When I see one of those small critters my ears tend to turn off. On the weekends I get to go up to a fenced in baseball field and I will run non-stop for an hour, smelling for any animals I can find. My foster mom says I am the fastest dog she has ever seen! I am house trained, do very well in a crate with no issue, know how to sit, and know the words off and no. I don’t regularly counter surf but who can resist a bratwurst on the back counter if I think you aren’t around. I am a big loveable goof and just want to please you. I love all of the cuddles I can get. My foster mom says that for a 2 year old I am very chill in the house. I would love to sleep in your bed but if you don’t want that I am ok to sleep in my own space too. I might try to sneak onto your bed sometimes in the middle of the night but if you tell me off then I will go back to my bed until the morning. I am a bit on the thin side at around 53 lbs. My foster family has been trying to fatten me up a bit, but it is a work in progress, probably because I spend so much energy patrolling for squirrels. I would love to find someone who loves to walk, take me on car rides, do water activities with me and just love on me. My foster dad says I am the most handsome dog he has ever seen. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application and email my foster mom, Kris! My adoption fee is $375. My name is Able-Baker, and I am ready to go to my forever home. I’ve been in rescue for a long time, but I would really like my forever home for my final senior years. I know it doesn’t look like it but I’m 8-10 years old. I came to the rescue after being found as a stray. I was microchipped but my owners never came for me. I had heartworms which I have been cured of but unfortunately, the damage was done to my heart. I started having fainting spells after a lot of exercise and after a whole bunch of testing, it was determined I had congestive heart failure. I am on two life-long medications but am doing very well without any more fainting spells. I just had a follow-up vet visit, and the doctor has cleared me for adoption.
I would do well being the only male dog in the home. I do well with female dogs, though! My foster parents allow me to have access to the outside all day and I do well in my crate all night. I love my daily walks and enjoy a few of those a day. I love all humans, nuzzling/scratches, walks, toys, quiet time, an empty dog park for me to explore, and riding in the truck. I love mealtimes and can be very vocal. I’m not shy about expressing myself when I need attention. I know the word “no” although I don’t like to hear it. I love a good game of fetch. I do not jump on people or furniture. I’m a pretty independent dog who likes his own bed. Don’t let my CHF fool you. It does not slow me down. I would make an excellent walking companion in a rural setting as that is what I am used to. A large fenced-in yard would also be good in my new home. No kids under the age of six. I am not the biggest fan of slick wood floors, and my bark can be loud (not excessive) especially if you are in the kitchen and I want a treat. My foster parents say, “To know Able-Baker is to love him intensely” and that should happen about 10 minutes after meeting me. I am a very lovable dog. If you haven’t already, please complete an application and email Tom and Lynn at tjelcid67@gmail.com. Able is UTD on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped so his adoption fee is $187. |
