SEGSP Rescue Dogs Ready for Adoption
Florida
State Coordinator: Dorothy Thompson
Volunteer Coordinator: Linda Kratochwill
My name is Chloe, and I am young, only 7 months old, and beautiful. Due to an unforeseen circumstance in my owner’s life, she was forced to make the difficult decision to rehome me. Luckily, she was able to get me into a foster home with the Southeast GSP Rescue.
Here’s a little bit about me, I love running, it’s my favorite thing to do. I’m hoping my next home has a big yard for me to run out all my puppy energy. I also love children, I lived with 2 kids in my last home, kids need to be 6 years or older, and that’s rescue policy. We young GSPs just have too much energy for little kids. At the end of the day, I love to snuggle up and watch TV. I’m a little on the small side, but don’t let that fool you, I’ve been told I’m the classic GSP package; energetic, snuggly, and smart. In fact, my foster said I’m so smart that I’m the only dog that figured out how to use the water cooler in the hallway. I’m also quickly learning the new manners needed to be a good dog. I’m super good at sitting, working on my Heel, and my stay. I have a slightly irrational fear of delivery vehicles, cars, trucks, lawnmowers, and tractors; my foster is helping me with that, and I am getting better every day. Since I’m young, I hope to find my forever home soon, so I can bond with my new humans for the rest of my puppy months. I am UTD on all my vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $600.00. If you are interested in me, please fill out an adoption application and email my foster mom Sarah at sarahbmccandless@gmail.com. My name is Riley and my foster Mom says I am the perfect blend of Velcro GSP and Independent GSP. I am very handsome too! She calls me “Ri Ri”. I am a big boy (70 lbs) and sometimes I forget how big I am and want to get in your space and give you kisses.
I get along great with other dogs and I have been around cats too. I really, really like my foster brother. Thank goodness he lets me share his bed and lay close to him. My foster Mom has taken me to lots of places and I get along well with everyone, children too. But remember I am a young GSP that loves lizards and I kind of have two speeds, walk and fun force run, so it’s best I am not around small children, only older ones. I am currently trained on the e-collar and know basic commands (sit, stay, paw, lay, come). Sometimes I have selective listening when hunting lizards or doing something more fun! I’ll get better with continued training. My foster Mom has helped me learn to crate, even though I am okay in the house. Did I mention I love to play fetch and carry a ball around, or your socks. I’m good at reminding you to put your socks away. I also might remind you too that food left on a counter or table I can reach is fair game. I’m still working on trying to resist the temptation. I learned how to swim recently, and I love the water! I would love to have a forever family that likes to do things and go on adventures, has a fenced yard for me to play and hunt in. Give me lots of attention and love and I will give it right back!!! I am UTD on all my vaccines, neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $375.00. If interested in me, please fill out an adoption application and email my foster Mom Cristina Cristinadossantos2@ymail.com. |
