Alabama

Hi there, I’m Remington and I’m 4 years old, healthy and I’m your typical loving, cuddling GSP. I love all people, and I’m proud to say I’ve finally warmed up to my foster canine sibling. It’s not that I don’t like other dogs, but it will take time for me to trust them.
I’m house-trained (that means I prefer to have my privacy in the backyard like you prefer your privacy in your small room), I’m very smart and I really want to learn more commands and like most GSPs, I want to be included in adventures and fun play in a fenced yard (I LOVE to wander my yard and explore – but don’t leave me alone because I want you to watch how good I am). I’m what you call crate-trained, but I prefer not to be alone in the house when I’m crated or I’ve been known to find a way out of my crate to explore (it’s super fun for me, but for some reason my foster folks say that’s bad). I do have your typical GSP Velcro gene, but because of my past I took that a little too far and am now on an anti-anxiety med so when you’re not home I don’t freak out. I think having another canine around (that doesn’t get in my face…if you know what I mean) will help lower my anxiety level (and enough time to know I’m safe and will never end up in a shelter). But if I could have a forever family that was home a lot that would be awesome (whether you have another canine companion or not)! I’ve learned to be an inside dog with all its awesome benefits, and I’m smart, and with a forever family to show me the ropes, you bet, I’ll learn all the rules quickly (including the one about not surfing the counter…whatever that means). And I’m proud of this one… I’m very well leash trained to the point that GSP lovers even stop my foster parents to ask about my training because I’m so impressive. Hair flip! I love to swim and run. Bottom line, I’m a great dog (I’ve heard my foster mom say that) and I can’t wait to show my future family how wonderful I am and how much love I can give them. If you think I’m the one for you, please complete an adoption application on our website (if you haven’t already) then email my foster mom Laura at fitasafiddlellc@gmail.com P.S. I’m neutered, vaccinated, microchipped an super handsome, so my adoption fee is $375 |
